Two Houses, Both Alike in Dignity

Two grand old houses stand near Colbinabbin, in north central Victoria. They are both alike in dignity, but history and fate has not treated them both equally.  Both houses were designed by architect Robert Alexander Love in 1867 for the Winter-Irving family. One is a loved family home, the other a splendid ruin.

Abandoned Houses

Small abandoned houses dot the roadside on the way from the tiny Tasmanian towns of Sorell to Oatlands. There are many more abandoned cottages throughout the Midlands of Tasmania. We look at these cottages, and their abandonment is tantalising.
